and Indemnity Club
P&I
clubs are mutual associations formed by ship owners to cover the
liabilities they may incur in operating the ship, which are not
usually insurable in the ordinary marine market.
Examples
of the risks covered by these clubs are:

Loss
of or damage to any fixed or movable object or property or other
thing or interest whatsoever other than the vessel,

Liability
assumed by the assured under contracts of customary towage for the
purpose of entering or leaving port or maneuvering within the
port,
-
Loss
of life, personal injury, illness or payment made for life
salvage,
-
Additional
costs reasonably incurred for the purpose of landing from the vessel
sick or injured persons or stowaways, refugees, or persons saved at
sea,
-
Additional
expenses brought about by the outbreak of infectious disease on
board the vessel or ashore,
-
Fines
imposed for any act or neglect or breech of any statute or
regulation relating to the operation of the vessel,
-
The
expenses of the removal of the wreck of the vessel,
-
Legal
costs incurred by the assured,
The
successful handling of such claims requires good people on hand in the
ports of Iran and Tehran who can deal competently with al the issues
that arise .Our personnel have considerable experience in these areas.
